What if gender dysphoria did not need to be fixed?
Welcome to The Realing Collective, a free private social media group for all those who have experienced, are experiencing, or know someone experiencing gender dysphoria. This is for people who are gender atypical, detransitioners, friends and family of people transitioning/detransitioning, and professionals navigating the legal, social and ethical issues around gender dysphoria.
I started this group for one core reason: because gender dysphoria is not a condition that needs to be fixed, either with medical intervention or with spiritual or mental intervention.
It is the soul’s way of communicating one thing: that continuing on with normal is no longer possible.
A Polynousic Community
This community is based on the core tenets of a worldview called Polynousism (Greek for many minds). The core tenet that inform what we do on The Realing Collective is that it is Grace, or the experience of being lovable by something larger than ourselves, that heals the experience known as gender dysphoria. Everything else is secondary to that.
What to expect:
When you join, you can introduce yourself in the main community chat, join a subgroup, or just lurk.
There are currently three subgroups, one for biological males, one for biological females, and one for discussing activism in the detrans world.
For now, I will be posting at least twice a week in the main groups with content, videos, questions and articles (either my own or someone else's) to invite conversation and exporation. Everyone else is free to post or share anything as long as it follows the guidelines of the community, which you can read more about below.
Who I am:
I'm Aaron Bigeleisen, a 31 year old biological male and a desister, or someone who started going down the path towards medicalized/social transition and then stopped.
My life has been transformed by the power of grace, and by the worldview known as polynousism (you can watch a video about what the means more fully here).
I am now looking to share the gift of that grace in the context of a private online community.
What are the rules:
Right now I have the following rules for the Realing Collective:
1) No name calling
2) No non-consensual arguments
3) No threats of violence or harm
4) No negatively talking about another person whether they are in this network or not
When those rules do get broken there are clear guidelines as to what happens and how, which you can find when you join. In short, there is no cancellation on the Realing Collective but posting/commenting privileges can be revoked for a defined period of time if rules continue to be broken.
